The mayubernatorial race
« on: August 02, 2007, 09:18:00 AM »
This is gripping stuff.  Three contenders so far--who will throw his (or her) hat into the ring next?  What ectoplasm scandal is Thor embroiled in?  Will Hammerhead be able to resist "nudging" his fellow candidates?  I am on tenterhooks.

Me too. I'm hoping for a well-known face to give it a go, like Brad Somerstant, Augie Richards or even Hot Rockin' Ronny himself.

Can you imagine the debates?  :)

Oh, oh!  I hope Tom hosts them.

I wonder if there will be campaign songs?

Wouldn't it be great if there was an in studio debate between all the candidates for mayor of Newbridge.
I want to vote in the race.

So far I am liking BOB for Mayor
I have a feeling he will be the best public speaker I mean listen to his takes.
Wait... whuuuuuuuuuut?

BOB?  Are you crazy?  I'm putting a write-in on my ballot.  The best candidate for mayor of Newbridge is obviously Keith Kincaid, Tom's neighbor.

Is Hippy Johnny eligible to run in Newbridge?  He's got administrative experience and a firm command of the practicalities of business.  Plus I bet he'd be a cutthroat on the campaign trail.  Possibly literally.

Good point, Sarah...  if Hippy Johnny isn't eligible because of location, perhaps he could be a sweet Deputy-mayor to one of the other candidates.

I would put Bob out to an early lead.
I just can't see anyone being able to take him on in a debate, that is unless its on live television.

The best thing about Bob is that we could all listen to later Genesis while at a rally. His rallies would just be a giant ghetto blaster in the middle of the stage with Bob changing the tapes that would be great

I wish Pudge would run.

I wonder if he's already running but is too shy to campaign.

Chris L. is turning out to be quite the campaign manager for B_Buster. He paid me a case of expired Funyons™ to do this:

leather cap, Cliff Huxtable sweater, sensible pair of loafers.

does Lake Newbridge count as a different town or it is just considered like a neighborhood in Newbridge? if so, that would make Aquaman eligible, hopefully he's not as much of a douche as Andy says.

then again, wouldn't he be in his 80's by now? I don't know if he could handle a 10 year term.

This is all assuming Crisis on Infinite Earths didn't affect the Newbridgiverse.

This reminds me... That episode was taken down from the archives.  Does ANYONE have an mp3/podcast of that call?
