I really like the Get Up Kids.

Seconded.  Ten minutes to downtown is ten minutes too far.

You're in good company, though:  http://www.superchunk.com/tourarchive/summer02.html

"We've really been enjoying getting to know The Get Up Kids and their crew.  Everybody has been incredibly kind to us.  I had never heard the Kids before leaving for this tour and I am really surprised by the comparisons to our band.  I know they name us as an influence but outside of a few stray chord patterns I don't really hear that much of a similarity.  They're much tighter than we are!!"

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I really like the Get Up Kids.

I'll third it.  I like Four Minute Mile and Something to Write Home AboutOn A Wire and Guilt Show didn't really bring it, though.

Wow! I was going to post the exact same thing, I held back for fear of looking like a Charles R Martin.
Also the Red Letter Day ep is as good as anything on Something to Write Home About.

When Avril Lavigne's song "Girlfriend" comes on the radio. I leave it on, and occasionally I also rock out.

I really like the song Girlfriend by Matthew Sweet, as well as the song I've Been Waiting, which is really sweet.  That's not embarrassing though.

I do actually like that song "Music is my Hot Hot Sex" which is pretty lame.  I loathe the part at the end where they're rapping in spanish or portuguese or whatever, but I like the part where they go "The wanna kiss this music".

Ooh I have a couple other ones.

THE L WORD - I've watched every season, every episode, and I love it. New season just started and it looks like it's gonna be a doozy.

THE HILLS - Josh knows what's up.

DIRTY SONGS - Darling Nikki is the ultimate.

John Junk and Swiss, you have no reason to be embarrassed about loving Matthew Sweet, CSS, and Salt 'n Pepa. I have perfect taste in music, so you can trust in me when I tell you that this is genuinely good music.

I like Girl Talk. Especially that Laffy Taffy bit! It makes me so happy. My brother is responsible for introducing me to Girl Talk. I blame him.
