WELCOME NEW PEOPLE!
« on: August 25, 2008, 04:27:02 PM »
We've experienced an uptick in the amount of new arrivals on the FOT board, so consider this section a place where you can introduce yourselves if you wish. It's completely optional, but it's nice. AND WE ARE NICE HERE! IT'S THE ONLY THING WE'VE GOT GOING FOR US.

Thanks for signing up! Stick around, won't you?

You won't? Come on.

Tom.

Welcome, Bobo!  Are you the one who gets kicked by that other guy?
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Hey Tom and Friends of Tom.  This would be Jonathan from Philadelphia.

I work in Jersey, I have a WFMU bumper sticker, I sometimes contribute to a music publication who has worse writers than shovel.com, and I must say that 'nem hoagies at Wawa have gotten lousy since they gave PBR the Heave-Ho.

Jonathan!  Nice to meet you.  There's a guy wearing a "I love Farting" t-shirt around here that works for shovel.com, so you can abuse or brown nose him to your heart's content.

Hi, I'm Jennifer. I work for an arts organization in upstate New York and I've been listening for about two months.

Thanks, Tom, for starting this--I wondered if there was an "introduce yourself" thread to post in before I started showing up randomly on the board (and yes, everyone has been very nice).

Hi all -- this is Crumbum from Toronto. I've been listening for about three months and consuming the archives at work as much as I feel I can without getting fired. I've never posted to a forum of any kind before this, but over the past few weeks I've joined the chat on Tuesday nights. I'm kind of embarrassed at how proud I was when Tom randomly called me out on air two weeks ago (even though he implied I was untrustworthy). One of these days I'll screw up the courage to call in...

The world seems a bit more tolerable with the Best Show in it.

Hello

I'm Craig from St. Paul, MN. Love the show, it makes the drive worthwhile and I'm happy to look into your innermost web thoughts.

I think turning the studio into a car wash is one of my favorite moments.

thanks for the forum

Frank, I love your soda.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Hello. This is Curtis from Austin, Texas.

To answer the first question this raises: the last time I saw Harry Knowles was in a restaurant. He was ridin' his Rascal.
