That's me affixing a faux-muff to Mangey's head. Mangey is my brother's cat. His wife got the misused item from a photo shoot she did for a story on a Rhode Island artisan who makes (you guessed it) faux muffs.

Chris L, PFT, Me
4/21/07

*I could write a 9 page fanboy essay about this picture but I won't; I'm trying to turn a corner.

I saw PFT last night in Arlington, VA.  He killed; that's all he does.  I was sitting close and sporting my Newbridge is For Lovers T-shirt because I tend to dress poorly. It served me well, though, because Paul, from the stage, sees the shirt, and yells, "Yes!  Best Show!".  Needless to say, I went home smiling.

Tonight, I put on a nicer shirt, which I should have tucked in, and saw PFT again. This time, I was alongside my first FOT-in-real-life, the great Chris L.  After the show, Paul invites us to the post-show gathering and gives us a solid 30 minutes of conversation - not just tolerating us, but truly enjoying his conversation with us. He is as nice a man as he is a great comedian.

My flagrant depression is cured.  I urge all of you sad sacks out there to hang out with a FOT you've never met and a comedian you've loved for 10+ years.
Holy crap, what a fun time. Nice to meet yous fellas!

That's just the kind of great story you want to hear about your favourite comedians. Nicely done!

What a sweet story.  Glad you guys had a good time.  If wearing the "Newbridge is for Lovers" shirt got PFT to wave you over, I'll be wearing mine when I see Stephen Covey.

Is that a handkerchief in his pocket?  Sartorial indeed!

Love that picture .... all three of you are beaming.

How can you tell?  All I can see of Dorvid is a glimpse of ear, eyebrow, and natty striped shirt.*

But a very nice story withal.  Reading it started my day on a cheerful note.

*edit:  Never mind:  I just found the thingy on the bottom that lets me scroll to the right.  Clearly, it is too early.

It was nice meeting you too, Dorvid, and PFT was incredibly funny and nice.   Also, looking at that photo again, I'm struck anew by that snazzy suit.  Meeting FOTs in real life is not only a seemingly surefire positive experience, but can set you on the road to financial prosperity as well.  I'll be discussing that more in my upcoming seminar, "Newbridge is For Winners."

A silly picture from last year.

I have a picture of me and Crispin Glover somewhere, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.
