Listening to the marathon finale live from Maxwell's. The Hoof and Mouth madness is always very entertaining.

Are these archived? I wanna hear Tom sing.

Holy shit - Just got back from Maxwells. Completely insane. Tom was crazy good - for his finale he crowd surfed. I hope someone got pics.

Many highlights, among them: the nine-year-old DJ Icepack doing "Rebel Rebel", Gaylord Fields doing the barking version of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", Clay Pigeon's proper-singing-voice rendition of "Quando Quando Quando", Jason Sigal's strangely effective "Sultans of Swing", Keili's furious "Welcome to the Jungle", and Field Marshal Freedman's "Nothing Compares 2 (WFM)U", which was a great way to end the marathon. And, needless to say, the two tours de force by Terre and Tom.

These are pretty much the highlights I would pick along w/ Todd-o-phonic Todd's hilarious dj shout-outs on "My Pledge of Love."  Keili was a revelation and Brian Turner completely pfwned Mark Knopfler on "Sultans of Swing."  All in all maybe the best Hoof & Mouth night I've heard.

EDIT: Oh, and Bill Mac's Anthrax version of Bring Tha Noize. That Billy Jam can yell.

Agreed. Forgot about Todd, that was funny.

Billy Jam's Flavor Flav just belting out BRING THA NOIZE all over the place, both on and off mark, was very entertaining.

In between verses of "Nothing Compares to WFMU" Bill Mac came up and squirted tears on Ken's face.

Todd-O-Phonic Todd cracked me up. It was brilliant. Keili doing The Ting Tings into G&R was pretty inspired too.

The Wicked Lester cover was pretty outstanding. If Jon Wurster had gotten up there and sang as Gene Simmons, it would've been the best thing ever.

If you aren't listening to Nardwuar's show right now, you just missed a momentous confession:  Tom has acknowledged that he is, in fact, a spambot.

There's tons of Best Show talk during this show.  It's being fun.
I'm listening now, and there was almost some Ted Leo talk. That would be an awesome interview.

Not sure where to put this question, so it's going here.  Please redirect me if there's a better place to go.

I called in during the Best Show on week 2 and pledged on the phone, but have not received a pledge receipt (or whatever it's called) in the mail yet.  I MUST fulfill my obligation!

Has anybody gotten their's yet?  Am I jumping the gun?

You should've gotten the mail out by now, yeah. I don't think premiums have started shipping (I also don't think the DVD is done yet either).

I've been waiting for April to pay mine off - I also found out my company matches donations, which is purty nice!

You should definitely contact Joe McGasko on the WFMU home page.

Thanks, guys. I'll hit 'em up.

Did you volunteer at the phone bank, Christina?  The girl who took my pledge was named Christina.  That's why I ask...Christina.

UPDATE:  I e-mailed Joe through the site and he replied with a couple of options.  I went with paying online, went to the pledge page, and BING!  BANG!  BOP!  Obligation fulfilled!

Thanks!

Yup, that was me! I think I'm in one of the photos over on Omar's recap.
