« on: March 15, 2010, 03:47:47 AM »
The finale of WFMU's Marathon Pledge Drive took place at Maxwells. Many of the WFMU air personalities were on hand to perform their favorite songs.
Always a fun night, this celebration of the ending of the WFMU Marathon.

A splendid time was had by all.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing these! I love the Hoof & Mouth finales. SO funny. Todd-o-phonic Todd was really funny as well as Kailey (sp?) rockin' the Ting Tings into G&R. Pretty awesome. Therese was great as well as Tom And Terre T.

And the band was smokin'!

Also, who was the DJ who did Lord of This World in that insane knitted devil mask?

Edit: Found my answer - Wm Berger.

Also, Hatch was awesome doing Big Star, Liz Berg's song Aintcha was great, and Clay Pigeon was terrific.

I like Kurt Gottshalk's version of "She" and Jason Sigal's version of "Sultans of Swing."
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Liz Berg

*swoon*

Yeah, she was pretty great.

I don't think it's that kind of swoon.

Oh, yeah, I got that ... I'm just agreeing w/Martin by re-stating my own enjoyment of her song.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, HaroldBlvd.  This looks like Live Aid for cool people.

Very, very sad I missed it, but so happy such a great thing exists.

And whaddya know, it's Andy Zax (aka the music geek) in the bottom left of the 5th pic. Guess that means Lisa Jane Persky was there too?

I believe so. I could not go to H&M, but the lady and I had lunch with Andy and Lisa Jane earlier that day. They are both awesome (of course).
