How do I get the podcast in mp3 form, as apposed to m3u file?

I don't have iTunes and neither of my portable players will play m3u files.

You can use other software to subscribe to the podcast, you don't need iTunes. Juice, for instance: http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/

And if you subscribe to the BEST SHOW SUPER FEED in your RSS reader (like Google Reader or whathaveyou), you actually get the mp3 links from the podcast feed(s) listed (aswell as any update from scharplingandwurster.com, Omar's recaps, etc.)
