I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this idea, but I was thinking of trying to get a local show topic in the FOT community. It would be a place to let people know of cool shows that are going on all around the country. I think it might be fun and give me an opportunity to see stuff I normally wouldn't because of FOT recommendations. And stuff to see if I'm ever in a different city.
Like tonight. I'm going to see Titus Andronicus and Craig Finn tonight at the 40watt in Athens, GA. I should be a great show. Heads up to the folks in the Southeast.

I'm looking for good music venues in St. Louis. Any suggestions?

Flaming Groovies were amazing. Roy Loney got onstage and did some classics with them which was AWESOME. Peter Case opened as did Roy Loney and the Phantom Movers....man, what a great night
-
Thanks y'all for introducing me to the Flamin' Groovies. That's some good stuff. If they ever make it out to Atlanta I'll have to check them out.
Alternately we've have this show to look forward to. https://www.facebook.com/events/1594266890864343/ (https://www.facebook.com/events/1594266890864343/)

John Carpenter's Los Angeles show on 6/18 at the Orpheum Theater...If I don't see 3+ dudes cosplaying as Snake Pliskken to varying success I will be highly disappointed.
(PS: Hello fellow FOTs! Fairly recent Best Show convert here. Been getting involved a bit Tuesdays on Twitter so far and really enjoying the show/community)

Just saw a show this weekend from another band I've never heard of. Pylon. They're great but are no more. There are rumors of them getting back together. They had a record release party and Love Tractor and Swimming Pool Q's played.
I bought an album for the digital release. I don't own a record player and don't really want to. If you'd like the album PM me. Looks like it's a double album. It's called Pylon Live. I figured I'd give it to an FOTer -- No Chaaaahge

Sounds like a good fest. Hey Mike, I'll be in SF in mid May. Could you recommend any good venues to see shows?

Anyone coming out this way for Burger Boogaloo 2018?

I'll be at the Boogaloo, of course, but I was worried when they advertised that it was Devo's only show for 2018. Doesn't that mean they won't be well practiced?
-
Oh. My. Goodness. I saw the Damned on their 40th Anniversary just before the Capt. broke his leg.
I just may need to do this...
Thanks for the post!
Space Junk - The Eighth Day...yeah, this sounds good. I will wear my MASA'S SHIRT!! Well...nah. I don't need to go bananas or anything....

I've got a 'Gut Feeling' they might be a bit 'Out of Sync', and maybe a 'Big Mess'...I'll still be 'Jerkin' Back 'n' Forth' though.

Mike! That FooPee site is awesome. Thanks for your suggestions; I'll definitely check them out.

It's crazy that the same label that put out the Best Show boxset is now putting out a collection of 80s electronic music from Eugene.

There is a weird energy here, maybe the big Ken Kesey statue in the town square. Was reading an HP Lovecraft bio and found out a modern day Lovecraft magic cult operated a few blocks from my house.
Here's a tape from Eugene Electronic Music Collective, some of which will probably be on the comp.
