Title: Wikipedia pages clearly written by their subject
Post by: puffskull on July 19, 2016, 08:05:24 PM
Only just heard about this G.E. Smith character... I feel like he's almost certainly been mentioned on the show before due to his playing guitar for Philly all-timers Hall & Oates and also Bowie and Dylan, but i've never clocked his name. Maybe its due to that name being so painfully forgettable. I only found out about him now due to the fact that he seems to have a gig with the Republican Party (!) and seems to be a disgrace to the good name of rock and roll... Anyway, his wiki page is a real hoot:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G._E._Smith (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G._E._Smith)

My favourite part is the laboured repetition of the part about his mother giving him a Telecaster and that it was 'born' in the same year he was... Reads as though he's still eleven years old. I'm actually surprised his age isn't given as "64 and a half" or "nearly 65". Dolt.
