Tom, I know you said nobody do this idea, but this isn't really 'doing it'. Just for kicks, anyhow!
Edit: Fixed?
-
Something is amiss.
-
I think I fixed it?
-
Tremendous.
-
Amazing!
-
I feel safer already.
-
This is the greatest thing I will ever see.
-
Poor Matt.
Nice work, RJ, though the outline of Larry's puny genitalia is something I'd prefer not to have seen.
-
That is awesome, Joe.
What is/was amiss, I wonder?
-
Wow, this is fantastic. Great work.

Haha, why'd you go and draw my attention to that?
-
Wow, great work!
-
Mike is ominous in the background. His late arrival at the bloodbath makes me think of Victor the Cleaner.
-
Mike's hammer (ha) makes the picture for me.
-

Me either.
But I do love how the npr price is a nickel.
-
Sarah, putting genitalia on notice so the rest of us can share in the horror? Nice.
Also Joe, I want your art inside me. :-*

Just be glad he's only holding a script, now. Glad y'all like it!
-
Wow. This is so great.
-
I love imagining the dull thud of the apple rolling around in Mike's briefcase as he enters the doorway.
I can't help but recall the whole subject of Fredericks being involved with the end of the world now.
-
Beautiful.
-
This is so horribly wonderful. Or it's the reverse. Either way, I'm happy.
-
Nice kick move by Pastor Josh there.

That is excellent! I never knew Pastor Josh was so bearded. Can I be brought on as the SCUMM Force newby in Volume 2? Please? I'm tall, know Kung Fu, and have a really sweet Louisville slugger in the trunk of my car!
-
holy shit that fucking rules
-
Nice kick move by Pastor Josh there.
As the story develops, I would like to contribute this character trait for our beloved AP_Mike; he makes a deal that for every 3 enemies he kills, he gets to kill anybody else he wants to, so he's further committed to offing the enemy by the motivation of having the opportunity to kill anybody who's just pissing him off.
-
Mike as portrayed in this picture reminds me of Pinhead with a luxurious head of lustrous white hair.
-
Lovely.
Written by Matt Fraction, I assume?
Yes, Pastor Josh seems much more menacing (and bearded) than I expected from a Man of the Lord.
-
And ginger to boot.
-
Joe, you're the best, that's amazing.
Of all the many terrifying things on that cover, the most terrifying is that it looks like the guy getting kicked in the face had to listen to Larry read through the entire script, dere. How many times must he have begged Mike to just start hitting him with the hammer, only to have Mike stand in the doorway and silently refuse?
-
I think Pastor Josh looks a lot like Hank Scorpio.
-
Just saw this. Fan-friggin'-tastic.
-
Great job, Joe! I've always pictured Fredericks as Matthew McConaughey gone to seed, too.
-
I really love this.. Isn't Spike a part of S.C.U.M.M Force?

Dave, that is sheer genius.
-
Holy Guacamole, this is great.
So who would take on these roles in Ang Lee's S.C.U.M.M. Force: the Comic Book: The Movie?

By necessity, APMike would be played by APMike, and Spike would be played by Ron Jeremy. I don't know, Hugman as Pastor Josh? Bruce Dern as Fredericks?
-
I always pictured Larry as more of an Eddie Deezan-type.

WFMU's own "Nick the Bard" could certainly get the voice-work part of Larry the Perv (sorry, LAY-uh-ree) for an animated version of the project.

This was the first thing I thought as well. Pastor Josh, do you shop in the hammock district?

Hey--I act!

If I'm going to play this game, I need to know if this is Crouching Tiger Ang Lee, or Brokeback Ang Lee.

You do NOT want to see LAY-uh-ree AY-uhn-gry
-
This is just wonderful!
-
I always pictured Larry as more of an Eddie Deezan-type.
And am I the only one that pictured Larry as much younger?
-
Great job, Joe! I've always pictured Fredericks as Matthew McConaughey gone to seed, too.
One of my favorite parts of this was getting to draw a genuine comic book antagonist into a comic. That you like it is the best I could hope for!
For the record, I did consult briefly with both Fredericks and Pastor Josh on their appearances, so this is as accurate as could be based on that. For Larry the Perv, I just guessed. Also, Pastor Josh is wearing the sunglasses from Blade, which in hindsight may have put things over the top intimidation-wise. But I still like it.
-
I always pictured Larry as more of an Eddie Deezan-type.
I always pictured John Cazale.

Nice casting coup if you can bag him.
Get it?
Too soon?
-
Thirty years? I'd say not.
-
I think my face just melted, was listening to the archives, Tom speaking to Fredericks on the phone while showing PO the SCUMM Force poster I had no idea existed. Awesome. This idea needs to be developed further, TV/Comic Book. I need to stop clicking on that 'show unread posts since last visit', I miss things using that.
-
I can't decide if Pastor Josh is actually kicking the guy in the face or doing the "foot on the monitor" thing.
-
this is awesome!
-
What a work of art. LOVE this sooo MUCH.
-
This will be the best graphic novel ever!

Agreed. It's a modern-day Watchmen!
-
Pure unbridled awesome!

Judging by the teeth flying everywhere...
-
I can't take my eyes off mike in the doorway. Wait... Nope, still can't. Thank you for all you do. Top Notch, Top Notch! Like Danny Noonan!
