Title: Better for Gentleman's Clubs: Sweat Pants or Athletic Shorts?
Post by: acslater on November 03, 2009, 08:27:36 PM
Sweat Pants are more versatile but Athletic shorts look better in the light of the day after you leave.

The answer is whichever has the most comfortable waistband to carry your firearm.

Who was the douche-rocket who accidentally shot himself due to his firearm sliding into his sweatpants?

Aren't bike shorts, the fourth choice, also considered athletic shorts - choice two? So confusing.  Who did this poll - the genius who wrote the gay marriage question for Maine?

That'd be this guy, former Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress. But who doesn't enjoy a night on the town wearing your finest sweatpant?

Repulsive. Not the idea of going to a strip club. Just the idea of wearing sweat pants to one...

And yes, I realize that this could have some anatomical benefits, none of which I think need to be discussed explicitly.

GROSS.

There's something to be said for being able to freely adjust yourself. Just sayin...

I think it's rather that one is too free in a pair of sweatpants.

Let me first say that this whole thread is repulsive. It ought to be locked and summarily deleted.

With all that being said, I chose athletic shorts.

One of those douchey man skirts that baristas at independent coffee shops wear--the girls will think you're less threatening/creepy, but you'll still get the 'freedom' of a loose pair of slacks.

Yeesh, day one and we are already just one "power tool" joke away from Standards and Practices yanking the PG 13 rating and then this all goes away.

Let's take this in a different direction then. I'd like a philosophical analysis of the Mike Show/ Sick Clique aesthetic. Let's cap it off with an adjective of our own creation/appropriation that shouts "Mike!" It could just be "Mike!"

Windbreaker pants (could this fall into tracksuit territory?).  Least amount of friction/resistance.

At a bachelor party (at which the groom's sister's boyfriend was buying his girlfriend's dad AND himself lap dance after lap dance) I saw a guy drop $3,500 in an hour, which is chump change for Vegas but quite a bit for Raleigh.

He was wearing... gray athletic shorts.

Bike shorts are spandex/lycra and very form fitting versus athletic shorts are more akin to basketball shorts.

Sweatpants
-Pros: Cheap, have pockets to hold ID and wad of soggy sweaty dollar bills
-Cons: Stains more easily

Athletic Shorts
-Pros: Look cool, lets everyone know you're sporty; Stains less easily with multi-colored fabrics
-Cons: May not have pockets

I chose Other.  I think velour would be most appropriate.
