Title: Kurt Vile music video in Philly on 3/30/13
Post by: zags12 on March 29, 2013, 06:20:34 PM
Hi!  Can someone please tell me where/when Tom's shooting this video tomorrow?  I emailed kurtvileparade@gmail.com, but haven't gotten a response. Figure they are very busy.  I'll be in Philly tomorrow and if anything, would love to watch some of it being filmed.

Thanks for reading!

Yeah, I got a response from Matador telling me not to come. No when or where. I was so excited to see this. Left a pretty sour taste in my mouth about Matador. I've only been going to Kurt Vile shows since the beginning, and a HUGE Scharpling fan.

We were shooting a video, not hosting an actual parade.

We picked the first 150 people who replied because that's all we could handle without the whole thing getting shut down by the cops.

I don't know what else to tell you other than I'm sorry we couldn't accommodate everybody who wanted to see this, but the reality of the project and budget and available time made it so we had to limit the amount of people participating.

The cops did come by and check out what we were doing, and I am certain that if there were even 25 more people there they would've given us a hard time.

Don't be mad at Matador or Kurt Vile. Be mad at me if you're gonna be mad at anybody. But again, we picked the first people who wrote to us and played no favorites.

Tom.

Besides, guys, watching stuff get filmed is boring. Trust me. Unless you have access to craft service.

I was there, and I had access to craft service. There were very beautiful women there too. It was great. Should have sent out those e-mails earlier, guys.
