Mark me down for Mr. Brooks as the best movie takedown of the year.  He picked that thing apart practically frame by frame.  (Side thought--Things you would love to see, but will likely never get to:  A weekly Siskel and Ebert-style show with Tom Scharpling and the Movie Boy.  My guess is that Tom's head would explode by the end of the first installment, but the entertainment value here would be off the charts.)

And there has to be an award for best GOMP, right?  I don't think there's any question that Hesh's first call should get the nod.

The Creepiest Laugh category has two contenders: Spike and the sound effects board.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Best member of ABBA? Would Tom be able to pick one?

Yes. He can and has. It's not even a contest.

Tom.

Best chatter: Wes. He needs to call in!  :'(

and best/funniest message board poster! (was this already mentioned?)

i think it would be like a six-way tie.

i guess worst poster could be a category too.

i hope this is a secret ballot.

There has to be some sort of official decision on whether Hesh is sadder than James.

Unless.. unless they're the same person.

James wins. Hands down.

Does anyone know which show the Mr. Brooks rant comes from?  I'd like to hear it.  Thanks.

June 12, 2007. The Mr. Brooks segment is about the last 45 minutes of the show.

Comeback-Kid

Also think Laurie is deserving of some sort of recognition, though I'm not sure what it would be.  (I personally appreciate her.)

Best laugh, of course.

I love all these ideas! Can we set up some polls on some of them and see what's what? Any way to keep the voting secret til the show? For only me to see?

Best GOMP is hilarious. Let's come up with the Top Five suggestions (with corresponding sound clips?) and the winner can be revealed on the air.

You guys are knocking this thing out of the park. Let's all work on it and make the awards show great!

Thanks!

Tom.

in addition to best GOMP id like to see an award for most GOMPed.

excluding obvious offenders like james I'd like to see which regular caller has been GOMPed most this year.

I'd like to nominate...

"Who Are The Five People You Would Want To Have Dinner With The Least?" as the hot topic of the year.
