If you guys listened to DA DROUGHT 3 you probably wouldn't be so puzzled.

It's possible to enjoy things that are off your idea of the reservation without being "ironic".

people don't tolerate horseshit in rock
yet when it comes to rap they are a lot more forgiving

Look, I'm not the one posting half a dozen Wyclef youtubes. You might want to look in the mirror here.

Wyclef hasn't done much good since the Fugees.

See, I can't take the challenge of finding a song superior to a Wyclef/Paul Simon collaboration seriously.

No offense.

My epiphany was that I have to assume you're a put-on.

So instead of listening to the song ....the names weren't hip enuff for you
so that makes the point moot.

I get it thats the definition of hipster. Who can like the edgier crap
I wish people weren't doing that with rap, its a a little too late for wishing now I know.

He's a child star he must have been a pre teen or in his early teens when he was with Cash Money
I don't see where he had time to be in prison or run around doing all the criminal stuff he talks about but that's nothing new in rap Tupac was Baltimore theater school geek before morphing into a California gang banger, Ice Cube grew up in the suburbs. The only thing is some of these guys play the role for so long they start to think they really are the character in their rhymes.

On a related note, Bob Dylan isn't really an Okie.

I couldn't tell what was going on in that preview pane and I was hoping it'd be footage of Sun Ra.  :(

Fixed.

Wyclef is one of the worst rappers ever.  You, Trembling Eagle, have not a leg to stand on.

thats laughable
I'm not sure  if I'm talking to a rap fan here, and I hate to assume and judge
but your comment leads me to believe you don't know much about rap.

If you're one of the fans of Wayne then go look at the song he did with Clef and compare that to the versions Clef reworked live
and learn something.

If you guys want to support people based on fashionability and hipness at least admit it like Ian did.

~~Edit
I guess I don't hate to judge THAT much
lol
