The Dusty Show, 70 songs from the 70s in 60 minutes. The corresponding 60 songs from the 60s in 60 minutes ended with a car wreck of failed confidence in which he abandoned the concept about 9 songs short of finishing; I am hoping he gets through this one.

the new hunches record. i am a little frightened and or disturbed by how accurately it sums up my attitude re: life right now.

Doug Benson's I Love Movies podcast from Jan 26th. It's a funny one.

Why does he say 'Willem Dafoe is a douchebag?' or whatever at the end of every podcast?  I missed the first one.

The program this forum is dedicated to BUT IT IS A COINCIDENCE.

My land, I am some episodes behind. This is why I have not been on a forum dedicated to the program I am listening to.

THERE ARE SPOILERS, I'LL WAGER.

Every XTC song I have in a mega-playlist.  Surprisingly few duds.  Don't get me wrong, I love them, but I've always considered their post-Terry Chambers output to be a mixed bag.  It's all sounding pretty good now, though - might be time for a reevaluation.

I know. I got the same feelings from the new Black Time.

Wire's 154.  A bit early but it's all I've got on my work PC.

Upgrade everything but Oranges & Lemons. That gets my vote for the biggest disparity between what an album's cover promised me the album would sound like and what the album actually sounded like. I still like a few songs on it, especially The Loving, but I really hate how the whole thing is produced.
This may be the year I will disappear.

It's my favorite. Skeleton Steps Out, Chalkhills and Children? These are incredible. Also, one of the greatest bass guitar albums of all time. The first six or seven songs are amazing examples of McCartney-style bass melodicism (is that a word?)

SCORE! 20 Years of Merge Records, Volume 1: Peter Buck
He's this soulless bastard from Siberia. I once saw him shove Fred Savage's face in a toilet.

I don't remember. I think it started off as a riff on the absurdity of him calling Carole Lombard (or Barbara Stanwyck, etc.) a shithead, and evolved from there.
