I just listened to this about a dozen times 4 or 5 weeks ago. I love the lyrics.
Now I am up to Mojo magazine's first of 2 cover discs of the Beatle's "white album". The corresponding Revolver was not so hot. I am just starting this, but I am a little worried.
Different strokes on Ryan Adams. His Cold Roses album is exceptional. I think you could play a similar game with almost any album and any artist, even beloved ones. I can't hear Ted Leo without thinking of Phil Lynott; doesn't disqualify TL for my affection.
I think the key to that segment is the title of it. I would still LOVE to hear Tom spend 5-8 minutes online with the overwhelmingly creepy "music" of Harry Shearer, especially, say, Songs of the Bushmen. Tom's discomfort would be heavenly, I can assure you.
