i just joined emusic even though i'm bleeding money right now.  got the latest thee oh sees and just finished it. very good. think i'm gonna get the new jeffrey lewis thing, too.

eMusic is great. Or at least it was. I haven't been a member in a few years. But I downloaded a gaggle of stuff from them and the mp3's are all high quality. The only problem is that they keep jacking up their subscription fees, which is why I'm not a subscriber any longer.

A little over a year ago, Jeffry Lewis and his band crashed at my house after they opened for the Mountain Goats in Eugene. I had never met them before nor did I know much about them but I talked to them for a bit at the merch table before the show and again afterward. They said they were looking for a place to crash and they asked if we had floor space. I told them we do but that we lived an hour south of Eugene. They said they were heading south anyway so they came down and stayed. Regardless of what anyone thinks of his music (which I like) I just wanted to say that they were all so incredibly nice. Just top notch.
