Dan Deacon in concert; it sounds like it would have been fantastic to have been there, but as an audio-only experience, I can only take the bleepy bloppy for so long.

This was my first and still my of favorite Sanders' record.  Sonny Sharrock was/is my favorite jazz guitar player.

Check out Sharrock's "Ask The Ages" to hear the two of them reunited years later.  First time I ever did a radio show I played stuff off both those records.

Good taste TRG.  And it tastes good too.

Did you watch the time-lapse video?

I did; I wish I had watched it AFTER, but it was interesting, part of what makes me think it would have been fun to be there

I have a copy of Ask The Ages and it is indeed great. A lot of people only know Pharoah Sanders for the album, "Karma," but I think he made a few albums that were better. "Tauhid" is one of them. 'Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt,' in particular, is just fantastic.

As far as jazz guitarists go Sonny Sharrock, James Blood Ulmer, and Pete Cosey are all good.

I have a copy of Ask the Ages, too! I think that accounts for the only 3 extant copies.

Zack G being interviewed on "Talk of the Nation".

A caller just described him as "glue".

Now beard talk.

^^^ That's a great album.

Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

I think it was "Trapdoor F****** Exit." Not bad. You can tell how many bands have ripped them off.

Does anyone here have the Space Ghost album that Sonny Sharrock did? I think TCI Cable (remember them) offered it as a promotional item.
