I was very much into Tom hanging up on Avalanche Bob. He's insufferable.

Also, Cat is great.

When Avalanche Bob has to acknowledge anyone but himself he sounds like he's in pain.

Avalanche Bob Cat Laurie must be stopped.

I cringe every time Cat comes on the air. But when she just contributes something to the topic, she is fine. It's the constant updates on her personal life that is the problem. That brings absolutely nothing to the show for listeners.

This alternate dimension thing - do you think there's some puppet master who actually listens to the show coaching Avalanche Bob on what to say?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I think Avalanche Bob saw too many episodes of The Outer Limits and the original Star Trek.....the fact that the "alternate" versions of himself have different names may mean he was really into the original Mission: Impossible as well, because the agents were always changing their names and appearances. So yes, I think he has terminal TV on the Brain; there is no cure.

With the alluding to the Chris Hardwick news I was hoping someone could let me know which show Tom hangs up on Chris for cursing almost immediately. Wasn't it one of the 6 hour shows?

Air date: 06/02/2009

Quote
I actually just stumbled upon the episode where Hardwick called in. Tom had not really been saying much about Hardwick before this call. It's sort of during the genesis of his going off on podtrash. The call isn't all that painful.

PFT and John Hodgman are in studio, and Hardwick calls into the show which is full of celebrities. He starts talking about his new show Web Soup and kind of going back and forth with the guests. Tom really stays out of the conversation for the most part. Then Hardwick curses, which Tom just tees off on. He starts calling it "Podcast 101" and he hangs up on him. Hardwick tries to call back to the show but Tom tells AP Mike not to let him through and dictates to AP Mike to repeat the following to Chris Hardwick on the phone:

"We are on the radio. We speak like adults on the radio. This is not a toilet mouth podcast."

That was from FOT border Roman in this thread from 2016.

During the sound collage, I believe it's Stevie Blue, I heard "pokeman had to pay restitution to the vice-president of Hasbro."

The center square on the Best Show Bingo Card is Kirkland wine. Merlot, Pino, or Chardonnay...I dare any of you.

This will hurt tomorrow....

That reminds me of a story that I’d read about Paul Lynde. Mr. Lynde, a famous drunk and anti-Semite, drove home intoxicated one night from a local bar, back to his home in Malibu, and parked over his mailbox and front lawn.

The police had followed him home.

The cop approached his car, and rapped on his window.

Mr. Lynde rolled the window down (eventually), and said, “Two cheese burgers, a large fry, and a coke.”

Funny but too bad he was hate-filled.

That ruins things for me.

Too bad. I think that I got 1 out the 50 jokes he told here.
