Hmmm...Kurt Vonnegut had some thing about pornographic movies about eating in I think Breakfast Of Champions.

If you do a performance please let me at least audition for the Reginald Religious Right role...

The portions of Larry's story that got on the air were the best/worst moments of last night's show.

I just finished reading Larry Legend. It's an allegory of sorts with "eating" movies standing in for ... well, it's not that hard to figure out. Tom is the repressive ruler and I am a heroic rabid dog. I'm going to keep pushing Tom for an on-air performance if only to hear Larry do the female parts (in a few scenes he will literally be having a conversation with himself). Stay tuned.

I was in Ft. Lauderdale for the Black Dice/Animal Collective show last night. I thought about leaving early so I could get din din at Rickey's "World Famous" Restaurant, but I decided against it. It was raining pretty hard. Also, I don't like hairs in my burritos.

Think I've posted this photo before. But that place looks like a gentlemen's establishment fo' real. That is the FRONT, MAIN entrance. And there are no windows.

I agree, Samir.  There's an "Adult Superstore" in my neighborhood.  Same exact color scheme, and no windows.  And those same two guys are always hanging around outside.

i've literally only heard about five collective minutes of tonight's show so far, but Stevie NoHo fooling Tom with his Spike impression was awesome.

I think everyone who gets their call in as the first of the show should try their Spike impression.

I did this in my one and only call, long ago.  It was late in the show and Tom was worried that Spike would be calling that late.

Thanks Hugman!  I try not to be too impulsive while on the line, but I couldn't help it.  Tom had set up all the pins and I just had to go for it.

Buffcoat, you should call more often.  I think you'd fall into the Quality Caller category pretty easily.  I will have to scour the archives for your first call.

That's ironic that you guys think I was stoned. I'm straight edge.
I'm a Filipino with an Italian name, how weird is that?

I don't think anyone was being serious about that. At least, I wasn't.

Yeah, I'm sorry. I hate it when people think I'm drunk or stoned when I'm sober. I didn't mean it. Don't hold a grudge, okay?

I'll think about it, NoHo.  My call was ok - I called on topic and gave a convoluted answer, which was amusing but not enough for the setup.  Story of my life.  Tom was very gracious.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I laughed so hard at Tom's reading of Larry da Perv's script.

And Emma from Ohio!! I love her.

Tom: Vampire camp?
Emma: Uh, I would hope not.

"Do you know the song explosion?"

MORE KIDS, PLEASE.
Too soon?

Also, f*** Billy Mitchell!

I dunno. I've always liked this picture for some reason.

Whoever it was in the chat that compared Billy Mitchell to Daniel Plainview nailed it on the head. It's devious, forward-thinking dirtballs like that who make the world run, whether it's fair or not. Mitchell must be "respected" for his ruthlessness, at least above a tract home zombie like Steve Wiebe.

It's true, Billy Mitchell and Daniel Plainview were neck-and-neck as movie villains of that year.

He's a 'love to hate' guy.

I was waiting for Tom to ask Spike if his "book" would be an autobiography.
