I think my hardest laff came early in the show when Tom said Mike thinks he's Principal Joe Clark.

It was obvious Wally Wackiman was truly hurt by Tom's heave-ho when he called back, which in effect is comic brilliance. A puppet's feelings were hurt on the last show. And then Tom being genuinely sorry for that was just hilarious, all while throwing AP Mike under the bus for the poorly judged call-screen.

I was pleased that I regained my throne as the first caller of the night, which is the way it is supposed to be.

Best moment for me was when Tom made Chris snort with the Conversation joke.

The "Hello Scharpling....." and subsequent "BOOOIIIING" after Tom stressed that he expected top notch callers ONLY was fantastic.

Also, Spike calling Tom "Cha-Cha."

Speaking of Spike, can anyone point me towards his first call? I've tried to find it on my own to no avail.

Research conducted last spring/summer for the Trading Cards project indicated that the first Spike call occurred during the 3/2/04 program.

Thanks, Omar.

Listened to it today. He sprang on the scene fully-formed like Athena. Short call, but all Spike.

I listened last night. You weren't kidding.

"Sexy Sadie..."

I really wish Officer Tom would come back, though. His late-show call was excellent.

It was great that in the last chat Spike himself brought up "sexy Sadie."  In the past, he's denied having made those calls.

Listening to that one now. Two things that were established right from Jump Street:

1.) Spike's warrior-like persistence

2.) Tom's spot-on mimic of Spike's high-pitched Droopy Dog voice

It may just be me, but another caller who didn't give a name sounded like Fredericks.

Maybe we should all quit giving our names.....what could possibly give us away?

Our distinct voices, perhaps.
