Tom laughing when Hodgman read the H-Man's status update explaining how he ripped his pants.
"I was in the shower and it occurred to me why the Hendersons named their guest "Harry."  That movie has layers!" ~ Jack Doneghy, 30 Rock.

Tom hesitantly revealing personal tidbits under John Hodgman's gracious yet persistent questions.

John Hodgman's superhuman graciousness and charm.

Tom pretending to get a call from work so he can screen Synecdoche, New York at a later time to avoid the running commentary from the elderly ladies.

The best bits of all shows with guests are Tom chuckling.

I'm pretty sure I heard a mystery 3rd guest in the background. A not-really-a-mystery guest.

The Art Bell name drop cracked me up.

Was JC there?

I didn't get to listen live, as we were making holiday preparations, but Tom must have wanted to guarantee a great show; the white hot Ramble Tamble is so good, it's almost cheating. It was also the first track on the first album I ever bought, Cosmo's Factory for $2.98 (brand new!) at Taylor's Records, which was little more than a booth in the basement, a rental space inside the old-school Chester's department store. The instrumental section at the center of the song was also the second thing I ever taught myself on the guitar, picking out the chords by ear. (Mr Bojangles was the first.)

Ahhh, 1970, where did you go?

"So what are your plans for Thanksgiving, Tom?"

"That's none of your business."

"Ahhhhhh, yes."

-Trembling Eagle successfully gets John Hodgman to say 'Latter Day Saints'.

Tom saying "What is this, a 7up commercial?" with PERFECT comic timing after Trembling Eagle said "Ah, yes" made me laugh so hard I almost woke up my sleeping infant child ...

All of this week's show was exceptionally great, but I loved hearing Hodgman be able to just talk in a less formal format than you usually hear him. I really hope to hear him back, perhaps as a PFT-style semi-recurring guest.

I love whenever there is any guest in studio.  I brings out a different Tom.

"Pushing Daisies, my favorite show on ABC, was cancelled. Goodbye old friend".
