The JoePa story was amazing. I'm dying to see that photo.

8 shades of nuts.

I'm stealing this phrase and not giving it back.

- Julie kicking off the show and sounding not drunk. And then came the weird and ambiguous story.
- Tom's first impression of Mark Twain. It reminded me of Tom Kenny's Abraham Lincoln from Mr. Show.

I thought the same thing! Maybe Tom did, too, which is why he stopped. Either way, I still laughed out loud.  This was a really great show.

The steadily growing anger that crept into Fredericks from New Port Richey's voice when Tom kept making fun of his laugh was intense.
I know, right?  Eventually he was just like "Can we get back to the Morton Downey thing?" and Tom was like "Yes".  I bet Tom was thinking "If I don't let this guy talk about Morton Downey Jr. he's going to be waiting for me in the parking lot next week".

I got the distinct feeling that when Tom told Fred, 'that's a good point' after he noted that the kid in 'Old Man' had to be about 29, he was throwing Fred a bone to avoid an ugly scene.

Tom imitating Fred from New Port Ritchie's laughter.

I missed the first hour, but yeah, when Tom kept doing that combined with the New Port Richey guy getting annoyed it was cracking me up every time.  It was like he had some weird Tuvan throat singing harmonizing with himself thing going on.

Yeah, once I spent all of Christmas Day cheating on my wife and, wouldn't you know it, I forgot to open up presents!
That call was 8 shades of nuts.

I wasn't cheating. My husband and I are separating and there was nothing secret about my plans. He's relieved that he won't have to suffer through anymore special time with me.

I'm sorry, Julie (about the absence of ice cream in your life, not the imminent dissolution of your marital bond; one has one's priorities, after all).

I think I need a humor buddy, because I'm one of the least funny people around.  I'm thinking of someone along the lines of Mark Wahlberg from I <3 Huckabees.

Surprisingly, ice cream isn't such a big deal. But sometimes that I crave cream cheese and sour cream for days.
