Yeah, I think you won a book pack or something, Hugman.

Yep, it was one of the Hodgman/Tompkins autographed(loved the twist) book packs.

my two favorite moments: 1)when they announced the total raised, my heart literally warmed. 2)I'm pretty sure I won something, but I didn't catch what it was.

Can you share that amount? Can you share with me what songs Ted and Ms Mann sang? Can you drop by and give me a break from nurse-maiding?

Ted Leo Set #1:

1. "Nothing Much To Say" (from the Mo' Living EP)
2. [NEW SONG]

Aimee Mann Set #1:

1. "Freeway" (w/ TL on rock guitar)
2. "31 Today"

(both from @#%&*! Smilers)

TL Set #2:

1. "The Mike Show Theme"
2. "Timorous Me" (from The Tyranny of Distance)

Aimee Mann Set #2:

1. "Wise Up" (w/ PFT on vocals)

GRAND FINALE:

Ted Leo & Tom Scharpling (w/ Mann, PFT, John Hodgman, The White Lady, and Sister Brandy) - "Someone Saved My Life Tonight"

"Let's have a device-a-thon, just you and me." -- Montgomery Davies

HODGMAN: "I'm drinking strawberry milk."
TOMPKINS: "And I'm a chocolate milk.  Is that how this works?"

Over $120,000!

The FK's are in my thoughts and prayers.

"Someone Saved my Life Tonight" made my year.

That harmony!!! I couldn't pay an award winning Barbershop quartet to hit those notes in the chorus if I wanted to.
They nailed it! It was majestic through and through.  Perfect song choice.

I was partial to Aimee Mann's comment about how she's going to try and not bring the place down too much (or something to that effect) right before her ridiculous duet with PFT.

My favorite part was when during the Aimee Mann/PFT duet, someone in the chat said "this is exactly like the Muppet Show," in reference to said duet.

I was hoping it would go on for a few more minutes.  I enjoy Star Wars, but hearing Tom rip on it is even more enjoyable.

What *I* heard was a call for Bossk-IG88 "shipper" fanfic.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Listening to the podcast, I realize that I missed Paul F. Tompkins: Big Dog/No Fear designer.

Best part of the show after a non-live listen is:

Tom:  "The past is history, the future's a mystery, right now all we've got is... EIGHT HUNDRED, NINE EIGHT NINE, NINE THREE SIX EIGHT!!!!!"

Yeah the Star Wars talk was hilarious.  Did I hear Tom say something like "Terres (forgive any improper spelling) is going to get thrown into the Sarlac Pit?"

Also NERD ALERT!!! (and I'm referring to myself) Terres saying that the actor who played Wedge Antilles was Alec Guinness' nephew.  Very close, darling.  He was actually Ewan MacGregor's uncle.  Same relationship, just reverse the family titles and keep the Kenobi.
"I was in the shower and it occurred to me why the Hendersons named their guest "Harry."  That movie has layers!" ~ Jack Doneghy, 30 Rock.

Tom and PFT's impressions of THE_REAL_SHAQ were outstanding.
