Fredericks is a man wise beyond his years.

Which is saying a lot!
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

"You don't shake off the catcher! I'm Johnny Bench! I'm Mike Pizza! I'm holdin' it down!"

And that school with the sign (that I also remember as particularily pathetic) is Bunker Hill Community College.  The banner hung off that place along with a similar banner on the L Street Tavern in Southie until around 2002.

Not being from America, I have only a vague knowledge of American history - but isn't Bunker Hill like a really important place from the War of Independence? I thought only people with nothing to be proud of were proud of stupid stuff.

My favourite bit was also Rushfest and the Neil Peart rimshot.

"There’s a sleeping bag, some kind of scented candles…some jimmy hats. There’s a cassette in the jambox. Hold on…Oh, "You Give Love A Bad Name". Must be an old Jovi tape or somethin."

On a side note, is it weird that I have as my ringtone Tom and Laurie harmonizing together doing "Miameeee"?

Silence...is golden. Duct tape...is silver.

Yes, Bunker Hill is the site of an important battle of the Revolutionary War that took place in Charlestown which is marked by an impressive obelisk.  Let's just say the battle of Bunker Hill was the highpoint of Charlestown history before the former slum's current gentrification.  I have a lot of respect for Community Colleges and think they're an underutilized part of the education system, but there's a reason why Damon and Affleck used this particular school to contrast with MIT in their screenplay.

He already did.  I don't remember where, though.
