I missed the show, and am hitting the time in the professorial year that might keep me away for a few weeks. So I am sad. But then baseball season is starting, so I am conflicted.

And my Ipod broke. So for now, I can only imagine the best parts of the show. So I am hopeful that Paul F Tompkins called in to point out that my "Catmo" claim was made up.

Oh and how could I forget Alvaro's song! So cute! Alvaro, are you going to post the mp3 somewhere?

Thanks a lot!

Worst moment:

"I won't be here next week."

Well deserved break though, can't argue with that.

I deserve a break.

Don't mean I get one.

Tom's lucky. I hope he sleeps hard, but I would lay money down that he will just work harder.

DEFINITELY well deserved. I think this run is easily the longest winning streak ever without a break. So so so, SO great. True, no Best Show next week, but another gem to look forward to on Monday!

Not my favourite part, but an interesting one none the less, is when Pete called (twice, I think. He called the first time, and then called again saying "Let's talk about WOMEN....." but he didn't say his name before he got dumped from the show). I've been going through the archives listening to a bunch of 2006 episodes and I ran headlong into the "Pete Debacle". It was good to hear from Pete on Tuesday, I think! When Mike said an old friend was on the phone, I perked up when I heard   " *sentence*  , man..."  Hahaha. Oh, Pete. You crazy, crazy lad.
If honesty changed the hearts of men, who could contend? If all I thought were true, in this great divide that is my life, I fear to think of all that I'd undo, if all i thought were true.

"You really have had a pretty exciting night! You hang out with Uncle Floyd, then you're talking to me. What's next, you gonna get your car stolen?"

Actually, my car did get stolen. Really.

"Hi, it's Chris in Astoria"

"Christmas Story?!"

I laughed so hard today when this popped into my head.

This is why you don't read this thread before you've listened.  Now, I will see this coming.  My fault. Totally my fault.

Well in your defense that episode's only five months old.

Okay, I know this is late.  I just finished the podcast from two weeks ago.  This has probably already been discussed, but I need to say it.  Fredricks killed at the end.  He was like a seasoned stand up comic, hitting all the beats with his comments about Stewart and Obama.  Very very very funny.  Keep it up.

Another mention of dead artiste G.G. Allin this go-round...but NO CRACK UP!! Damn, I feel cheated (though, at this point, any mention of GG on the show makes me guffaw). If we can't laugh at the overblown demise of a functional retard, what has our world come to?
I thought I heard some applause. NO APPLAUSE!

I laugh every time there's talk of G.G. Allin "passing on."
Too soon?
