Quick note: If anybody wants to criticize guests who are nice enough to make time in their insanely busy schedules and physically come down to the WFMU studios to provide three hours of entertainment, please do it somewhere else. It's not gonna fly on this board, no matter what this thread is called.

And thanks once more to Patton for being eternally generous with his time, talent and energies.

Tom.

Tom, I would shut down the board, shut it down.

Eh, just for a week maybe. Send a message!

What's the Sufjan Stevens story?  I think I came in too recently to hear it.  I wondered what that caller meant.

Something something second rate Elliot Smith, pretension, theater music. archive: 01/10/06.

Paraphrasing,

Mike: "So this Vietnam Vet came back and channeled his anger at the Vietcong towards the children playing softball."
"Come partake of my fruit baskets."

What I was able to hear of the Mike & Therese Show was fantastic!  Well done!
You'll like it in hell; it's a lot like New Jersey.

I enjoyed being the lead-in for Fredericks' tale of parental beatings and recreational skipping.

I loved the show last night, and it only enhanced my radio-crush on Therese.

My favorite moment was during Fredericks's legitimately terrifying story.  When he said "so I was rolling on the floor, and my dad was kicking me", Therese is appropriately horrified and Mike just goes "Yeah? Where did he hit you???"

Oh, I'm listening to it now.  But I'd have liked to have heard it live.

That was a great, great show. I always like Therese's song choices but the Therese and Mike show was outtasight.

I am glad Mike gets to go out on a high note because he should certainly be fired for insubordination upon Tom.'s return.

[fonpr] 12:04 am: I have from the Middle of SAmir's call on, ON TAPE
[B_Buster] 12:04 am: I don't know how the podcast works. I'll check with Tom about that tomorrow. I'll ask him if he can arrange that. But it will
definitely be in Therese's archived shows
[fonpr] 12:05 am: If he talks to you
[B_Buster] 12:05 am: haha, I got some good zingers in tonight, huh?
[fonpr] 12:06 am: He asks for it
[FOTchat]: Stan has left at 12:06 am
[B_Buster] 12:06 am: as James Brown say, "REVENGE, THE BIG PAYBACK!"
[fonpr] 12:06 am: I offended Stan
[SJK] 12:06 am: i'm still picturing Tom stewing at home from you getting all of that tom scharpling unsupervised airtime

I enjoyed hearing Mike taking shots at Tom throughout the show. Can't wait to hear Tom get back at Mike next week.

I was surprised at how nice and well behaved all the callers were.
