You know what?  I'll say it.  The best part of the show?  Tom and someone else, presumably David although maybe Mike, audibly laughing at my call.  It  made me feel good.

Nardwuar was a little too intense for me.  (cheap Canadian speed)
Tom's Wally Wackaman impression = gold!
Someone needs to write a script of Wally Wackaman interviewing Werner Herzog. Then it needs to be filmed with Tom as Wally and Brian Cox as Herzog.

I can appreciate what Nardwuar is trying to do, but not sure it's for me. I spent most of the call wondering 'Why human serviette?' and yeah, I know that was Canadianese. People use him to clean stuff off their face?

Does he always talk so fast? It made it seem one-sided.

I have taken to reciting the Bruno S. clip in my car, Tourette's-like.  I think I want it as a ringtone (as my name is also Mike).

I like the way Bruno really leans into 'Mike'.

Anyway, yeah Nardwuar was a bit over-the top high-energy, as opposed to Tom letting things "breathe," but I can see how he might work on his own show with his own guests.

Also, the lack of JW this week did not go unnoticed by this gentle listener.

I found Nardwuar's appearance on TBS tiring, but judging from his Wikipedia entry I suspect I will enjoy his interviews.  But then I'm soft for things Canadian.  Hell, one of my favorite TV shows these days is The Battle of the Blades.  Hockey players trying to figure skate!  Don Cherry as a guest judge!  Great stuff.

In an attempt to get 50 posts AND push this thing to 200 pages, I'd say to those of you in the midst of Wurster-withdrawl should follow the man himself now on Twitter! http://twitter.com/jonwurster

In a similar effort, I already am following him.
