Tom singing "Beautiful Balloon."
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I desperately wanted more Dean Wonka

Tom's unaccompanied performance of MacArthur Park was magnificent, and I really hope he does this live at either the next Marathon closing show or as the closer for the TOM Conference.

I loved the whole recap of the Jimmy Webb concert, especially the dawning realization that he might be the only paying customer at the show as Webb called out to more and more family members/fellow performers/Sam Elliot Impersonators in the crowd.

Also adding to the love for Roy sharing the terrible secret of machete-swinging enthusiast Chris Knight decapitating poor Irv on the set of the final episode of the Brady Bunch. The parts about Roy Jr.'s latest business venture were great, as well.

And of course, the gentle reassurance by Tom at the top of the show that the bad man was gone, followed by "Morning Has Broken", was the perfect way to return to the show.
This may be the year I will disappear.

Its been a while since Tom GOMPed so many people, I loved it.  Just a straight up dominating performance.  Maybe the Mike Show will push Tom to new heights of Bestness.

BTW.  I added Fredericks to that wikipedia almost a year ago.  Once you are famous enough to have a soundboard created about you, then I think you have become a notable resident.

You know, that actually helped me. I just started listening to the show in the spring and I was completely confused about what this "newportrichey" was I kept hearing about was. So thanks.

Listening again. Curious as to why Tom is "apparently not allowed to have my own opinion" in re: Olivia Munn.

He tweeted something negative about her and Chris Hardwick responded with an angry tweet, I assume because he works with her.

Theodore Stud,
Thanks for the entry.  Someone told me about it a while back.

One quibble: notorious and notable are not the same thing.

When Tom was in LA he tweeted  a remark about O.M. that...well...could have been viewed as negative. @nerdist (Chris Hardwick) sent out a nasty public tweet to Tom basically saying "Fuck you". It looks like both tweets were deleted so I am sure they "hugged it out". Or not.

UPDATED: The tweets are still there.

Tom's first tweet:
Was just standing next to author/horrible person Olivia Munn.

CH reply:
Just read a shitty tweet from radio host/horrible person Tom Scharpling. WTF, Sir?

Then, CH a couple hours later:
I apologize for my defensive idiocy! I should assumed you were being wryly humorous. *kneels and thrusts sword into own gut*

That request caller bit would have been perfect if he only would have played "Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car"

Who knew Jimmy Webb sounded like Elvis when talked?
