Best: the return of Paycheck. Anytime he calls, cartoon hearts appear around my head, and I think to myself, "who is this mysterious super-caller?" Has he ever been on the board?

Or maybe I'm going to get scolded for not respecting the 4th wall?

YES! I'd forgotten that ...
Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

"Peanut Butter Pete" may have been my favorite show introduction since the conversation-with-the-scratchy-record era.

The great irony of that show was that the child-on-child-violence lady was so put off by Tom, whereas if she'd just tuned in a few weeks ago to the Therese and Mike Show, she would have heard a full three hours that was right up her street.

Spike, God bless you, man, but what you do is about as far from sparring as Kim Kardashian is from sympathetic. I am pulling for you, but you have to alter it up a little. Leave your comfort zone (although, given the dung eon, perhaps it's a discomfort zone.) Mix it up a little bit with a real new topic. You've got it in you, man, but don't rest on the laurels only you think you possess. LET'S DO THIS THING.

Spike, God bless you, man,

Kind of loose with those blessings, I would say, Reverend. Dave.

I said bad things about you Spike, but I do kind of miss your calls. Kind of.

Spike: I'm seeing either the new film with Alec Baldwin and Merryl...
Tom: Miami Bluuuuees.

That cracked me up. (As did the rest of the conversation, with the talk of Casino 2: Back at the Table. But pulling out Miami Blues was one of those genius moments that caught me completely off guard.)

That was great.  I think the full quote is:

"Hey, 'Mask,'... ... how's it going 'Mask'?"

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

So much great stuff last night: the shocking redemption of Andy From Bath, the Who's On First-esque "It's Complicated" discussion with Spike, Xanadu and everything with Steve/Shane, but especially the casual way he/they dropped the "oh yeah, this is one of those two heads on one body situations" revelation.

I was also moved by the final segment with Mike and what sounded like a heartfelt plea about his new place in the world. I almost feel bad for calling him a Leper Messiah in the chat right when that started. Almost!

Someone please feel free to sprinkle "Jean-Michael" through the above paragraphs.
This may be the year I will disappear.

Tom's immediate fear and then quick tough-guy recovery when he heard about JM's musclature and military service was also classic.
