I literally laugh out loud at the idea of a cooking show on the radio.
{listening to the show in the living room with my wholly-disinterested wife }

Mrs.: [looks up from book] Those bowls are empty.
Me: {sigh}

I was hoping for some Jerry Reed discussion/mockery after an LP was requested. I'm a big Jerry Reed fan (and, in spite of Dave from Knoxville's assertion to the contrary, I think he's a pretty great songwriter), but hearing Tom make fun of him would've been pretty entertaining.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Hey, in that style of guitar playing, for years he was second only to Chet Atkins. But I always had trouble with any art forms that intentionally reinforced people's most negative stereotypes about a group of people. Are you with me Lynyrd Skynyrd/Jackie Mason/Carlos Mencia?

Does this mean you don't like Patti Smith and/or Talking Heads? Just curious.

I guess I kinda know what you mean about Jerry Reed, although I think his songs are generally very clever and witty, not to mention admirable in their economy of words. Guitar Man, U.S. Male, Amos Moses, Tupelo Mississippi Flash, Lord Mr. Ford, and She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Flash) are worthy to sit alongside the best of Chuck Berry in my opinion. And I can't help but admire anyone who can make a track that is both country and funky.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Tom: "He's a painter."
Jen Kirkman: "Oh, like Hitler."
"Dad gets mad."

Listened to the show while driving to Indiana for the holidays, and my wife laughed so hard during the "child on child violence" bit that I thought we were going to have to pull over.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Last night it was Fredericks' tone when he told Tom he didn't like shoes.
