I guess to supplant rattlesnake at a Thai wedding, we now have "drunk rabbi at a Swedish roach hotel".

Creepy ape.

"No, I can't fly without my hat!" .. that whole sequence is still pretty good. is that the same bit where Debi Mazar refuses to wash up all the coke paraphenalia 'cause it fucks with her nails?

Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

Katonah?  The town where I experienced my first passion--or what passed as such at age twelve (viz., a chaste hand resting briefly on an unnecessarily corseted burgeoning breast).

Don't worry--the hand belonged to a fourteen-year-old, so the anecdote is within the limits of PG-13.

Tom's description of the pizzeria was so hilariously accurate of damn near every pizzeria everywhere.  And finishing it off with...

"... and you drink the soda from that weird cup in that part of the store, with the crushed ice that no one likes."

was just priceless.

After reading that and the AV Club piece, it occurs to me that Gallagher might be a performance art piece.  Maybe Andy Kaufman?  This seems like his kind of stunt.

If it's performance art, he's sure been keeping it going for a long time.

While on the Gallagher topic, I was reading a book about the Comedy Store and LA comedy in the 80s. When there was that labor dispute w/ Mitzi Shore about getting paid, Gallagher apparently said at the beginning of a meeting deciding whether to go on strike 'we need to remember one word here: compassion. Compassion.'

But then at the end of the meeting apparently he was chanting 'kill the c***' along with everybody else.

So, he's...compassionate.
