And thanks to IMDB, I just learned that Alex Rocco = MOE GREENE!

I read this as "Mo Rocca," the douchey CBS Sunday morning/NPR correspondent. I saw the photo and thought, wow, he's really let himself go to hell since last Sunday.

I'm in my late 50's.

Those last couple of callers right at the end there were funny, it was like the radio gods lobbed Tom two easy-peasy underhand pitches to go out on: first you had the one guy who got all huffy that Tom said Anthrax sucked, and then comes the next guy asking about RHCP & Tom talking about Evan's Red Hot Chili Peppers block at 12:30.

Jon vs Tom was top notch last night. Beatles Milt is among my top 3 characters now.

Best moment for me was Milo from Indiana being heave-ho'd

Auntie: Anthrax guy was a very close second, I concur. At first, I was a bit taken back by Tom dismissing Slayer, stressing "bit" (I really like Slayer, but hey, musical opinions differ, that's life). But when dude chose to defend Anthrax of the three, that was an "ew boy" moment

Dismissing Slayer is completely unacceptable.

Also: Of The Big Four, Anthrax has the most uneven catalog, but Among The Living is top-notch.

I know, I can't believe he would talk ill of Slayer. It had great characters, and was really fun to watch. I still think Joss hasn't topped it, I know there was that Firebug show, but I will always be a fan of Slayer more.

Slayer fan, yes. Slayer nerd, no.  I'm not one of those guys who watches every live Slayer YouTube and then critiques Tom Araya in the comments section on messing up that one word in that one lyric.

I don't know anything about metal but I was aware of/heard of Slayer for most of my life
and had no idea what they looked like until I watched their Nardwaur interview

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTq_aDHBJxo

they seem way more sane and down to earth than my prejudice would have allowed

One thing I do like about Slayer: in the liner notes all the guitar solos are credited in every song. That to me is funny, but I suppose its super-dead serious shit-fire important business to Slayer Nerds (not including Mackro, who is not a Slayer Nerd).

PS Yeah, TE, from everything I've heard about Slayer, they're supposed to be pretty good guys.

Kerry King is kind of jerky, at least in most interviews, but Araya, Hanneman, and Lombardo are fine gentleman.

Touche, Spike! But after your admitted Lady GooGoo epiphany, there's no telling what other modern tunes will lodge themselves into your head.  You'll probably be touting the new Dillinger Escape Plan and High on Fire records next week!  GooGoo as musical gateway!

I like metal more than the vast majority of forum members (and, I'm guessing, listeners in general), but I thought the metal call was hilarious.

Beatle Milt is the best JW call/appearance in a very long time. Was anyone else thinking that the character was going to be revealed as Quad-P?
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

He couldn't have made it back from the Barge. Not in those boots.
