Bob:
"I have a feeling you don't really like woman"
"You know, you're more pleasant on the phone than you are on the radio..."

I'm stoked Tom mentioned my book last night!!

And he's right - I inserted a secret "FOT" on the glass front of a pinball machine in the 11th floor apartment in the book.

I collaborated with two writers, Mac Barnett and Eli Horowitz, in order to create a whodunnit narrative. Beyond fiction, the story enters into the real world in the form of a nation-wide treasure hunt- each drawn page in the book has a secretly coded map which directs adventurous readers to twelve individually buried numerals, 1-12, made of gold and studded with emeralds, created by jeweler Anna Sheffield. They have been buried in holes across the country waiting to be found. Whoever first digs them up gets to keep them. Players and onlookers can follow along with the progress of the hunt on the fictional narrator Gus Twintig's personal blog: gustwintig.com.

You're saying I could really travel to these places and find the golden numbers?  That's awesome!

It's totally true. Gold and emerald numerals.

ScottT, do you know Kit Williams's Masquerade

Yes! It's listed as an influence for our book.

From our FAQ:
Quote
What are some of the inspirations for this book?
The Eleventh Hour, Graeme Base; The Westing Game, Ellen Raskin; Masquerade, Kit Williams; Life, a User's Manual, Georges Perec.

And Graeme Base who did The Eleventh Hour said he was stoked about the book!

I figured you must be familiar with it.  It was the first treasure-hunting book, wasn't it?  Or at least the first modern attempt, especially with a treasure that valuable?  I bought it when it came out, and it is still interleaved with bits of scrap paper on which I scrawled my pathetic attempts to solve the riddles.

Ha, Life: A User's Manual is an influence, too!  I was working at Godine when a copy of the French original showed up, and it was my responsibility to find a reader for it.  It got a very positive review, I recall, but it wasn't until long after I left the company that David finally got around to publishing the translation.  I always regretted that I wasn't there to shepherd it to publication.

You've named two of my favorite books.  I read The Westing Game last time I was down sick for a week, and it was as good as it was when I was eleven.
Who I don't have chocolate?

amiright??

The 4-20 episode was a total hall of fame episode.

It actually was a 180 laughs.

Perfect.

THANKS, TOM!
Well it's been a long time since I've had my favorite drink

I lost it after this:  "Usually when you say the word Pittsburgh it's like saying Rumpelstiltskin and you conjure the guy from The Cynics. It's like saying Candyman."

Spike, are you saying this is one of the worst moments? Because you can't pick your own comments as best moments.

Actually, maybe you can. But only Spike.
Too soon?

I think this might be Spike's version of Omar's recaps ... I don't think Spike acknowledges that there's any show past his call.
Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?
