Don't forget this part of the Wikipedia article, which is in reference to a ride that Tom discussed on that 2007 episode referenced above.

"In the mid-1980s GAR built an enclosed water slide, not unusual for that time, and indeed the park already had several. But for this one they decided to build, at the end, a complete vertical loop  of the kind more commonly associated with roller coasters.[15]  Employees have reported they were offered hundred-dollar bills to test it. "It didn't buy enough booze to drown out the memory", said Fergus.[11]"

I loved Action Park and I miss it a lot. The adrenaline rush was incredible.  Now I have to punch myself in the face with a hot iron to match that quality and quantity of excitement.

I actually have an article cited in that Action Park wikipedia entry, which I did not know until very recently, when a friend pointed it out to me.

That is perhaps one of the most entertaining Wikipedia articles I've read.

I love the under the table cash exchange. It's actually surprising to hear that Action Park wasn't mobbed up in some way.

I believe this is referring to the Cannonball?  I have vivid memories of seeing the dried up, sun bleached husk of the Cannonball standing in an area just left of the Action Park exit, like a penalty box. There were alway rumors that some design kinks were being worked out and that once the last round of law suits was taken care of, we would all get to experience the Cannonball.

Agreed. One of the best installments ever. So many highlights- ZG harassing Milo was probably my favorite moment. Still can't get over how funny that was. Classic TBSOW.

Spike, Pet, I think your foil hat is picking up frequencies on Tor Hershman's radio station. Not that I don't like it when people slather around the Francais.

I loved the show last night. All of it.

Definitely a great show. Zach vs Milo; Shawn ("Let's see your Yo La Tengo hit those octaves") McMyers and his movie script; hanging up on Larry; all gold.

Satanicus didn't play fair.

He had a rifle stashed in his unitard. In the ring.

He shot Dirk Rock in his bathroom area. Everything explodes.
