Who was the fancy guy from Philly that wasn't PBR?

My fave moment was probably Tom's long pause after that guy had this moment in the spotlight... then saying "Well, thanks for the call."   "So was I the mean guy, or was I the victim?" Paul on the floor laughing.

Michael K from gunk-rockers The Cynics.  He's from Pittsburgh.

And Tom's low-key reference to Bob Nelson's Brain Donors was great.

Where was this? I think I missed it...

To all the Michael K naysayers, can you finally admit that I was right all along?

I think I ruptured something laughing after Tom said Sam Kinison had a 'beautiful heart'.

It's around the 2:42:45 mark on the stream, towards the end of Geneva's fun call.

'What?'  I don't know which i enjoyed more, when Milo, Tom, or Paul said it. A new comedy team?  Milo, Paul and Tom?
Sounds like someone was working as a conduit for nature's natural vengeance.  Just like Jesus.  And some of the others.

Only about an hour into the podcast, but I knew this was going to be a good one when I realised the second caller was Pink Eyes. My old band played with F'ed Up a couple of years ago, and he was one of the most charming and genuine people I've had the pleasure of meeting, I just wish I'd known he was a Best Show fan at the time to compare notes.

Then PFT, Milo and DnD... Amazing.  Sounds like an all-time W so far.

Haven't heard the show yet, but just yesterday I was envisioning Fucked Up as in-studio guests.

Best Best Show yet... have listened to the Micheal K call several times already, and will probably listen to the whole show again soon.

The cherry on the delicious cake would have been a call from Fredericks while Wally was on.

Listening to the podcast and I just got to the "oh, there's another Juggalo thing" bit. How many times am I going to jeopardize my personal health by stifling laughter at work? Because I think so far the answer is in the double digits.

Best: successful first calls from Steve of Bloomington and iabvt; most everything else
Worst: catching a glimpse of PFT's veiled anti-Canadianism when he declared that the first three calls "were all exactly the same." I'll be holding his feet to the fire on this issue when he turns up in Montreal this summer, you can bet on that.  >:(

jeepers, thanks, Bryan.

i was nervous.  so nervous, in fact, that i forget to ask AP Mike how he was doing.  i just said, "this is iAmBaronVonTito" and stopped, like he was supposed to know exactly who i was and know exactly what i wanted.

hence, i openly apologize to Mike for being blatantly and unabashedly rude.

Thanks Bryan, you're too kind. Agreed that iabvt's debut was a success and it was good to hear from somebody we see around here a lot.

iabvt, I didn't really chat w/ Mike much either. After hearing Mike legends I was kind of worried about failing the screening test and thus not too talkative.  I just attempted to speak within the too soft/too loud too slow/too fast range and told him why I was calling.

Also, I was not eating during the call, which we know Mike doesn't like at all.

I apologize for missing Steve's call, but IAmBaronVonTito's was a delight.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.
