That was a lot of loud gunshots in the West Wing!

I know, it sounded like a fire fight.

I'm really glad I didn't flame out. And I appreciate the compliments.

I'm no "Maya from Brooklyn", but I'm flattered that everyone seemed to enjoy my call. Especially since I enjoy everyone else's calls so much.

Whoa! Sorry it took me so long to respond back to this post, but thank you, THANK YOU for the nice, encouraging words! It means a lot to me! It's taken me two years to work up the gumption to call in. Best Show + the FOT community are super important to me and I'm afraid with just one misstep I could lose it all (not to get overly dramatic or anything). I think that's generally why I'm totally nervous on the phone. :D

This week's show was jam-packed full of great-ness!!!

are we sure Tom played a clip from The West Wing and not Death Wish III?

Was Mike's laughter particularly raucous or did the intern leave the door open too wide?

Teets! You were great! And PFT totally knew who you were when you said your name. He said,"Ohhhhhhhhhhh!" And Maya FB set the bar pretty high on sultriness, but you didn't do too bad yourself.

JonFM! I have a Coconuts interview story as well! This was in Chicago. The manager put me in a room first thing and told me I needed to look over a list of corporate policies and sign the bottom saying that I agreed with them.  What really bothered me was an inordinate amount of material on maintaining a very conservative, well-groomed appearance. This was supposed to be a fucking record store for chrissakes.  So I told the dude I couldn't sign it and left.  Shortest interview ever.

That's probably the intern you're hearing. I think he was trying to out-laugh me. A heated laugh-off developed as the show went along.

Yeah, Coconuts policies regarding conduct and dress were pretty far from "coconuts."  But I guess "Staid" would not work as well as a music store name.

What I did not mention was that I got the job, but called in the first day of work to say "never mind."  I am usually a very good, diligent employee, but the place just gave me the heebee jeebees (sp?).

Truly a great show.  I'm now twice as excited to see PFT in August.
