to be honest
i thought for a moment that the coach would turn out to be HRR, when he offered Tom the job...
would have been nice to hear of HRR again

yeah i thought that maybe HRR was making a return to the show - is he still in omaha?

Milo's dad owning the above ground pool of sheds.

"What's in there? A lawnmower and bunch of spiders?"

So many highlights in the last couple of shows.

Two weeks ago:

"Stem cell research sucks. Prevention [uncontrollable giggles] of stem cell research sucks."

This week:

James from South-East PA's call. Had the potential to be complete cruelty, but ended up heartwarming and hilarious. So many little nuggets:

"I'm a vegetarian, as of yourself."
"Yes, as of myself."

"This is troubling, you're so respectful, I'm not used to this. I'm used to these animals who call who just trample all over this like it's a shortcut across somebody's lawn. Like somebody who lives in a corner house on a block? And everybody just makes a shortcut sweep across the corner?"

"Now are you worried about this maths test?"
"Not any more, because we're buddies, we talked about it."

"Because we're buddies! You call your buddy back!"
"Look forward to our next call... buddy."

Also Milo's Dad (hero) and the coach's call:

"The five guys walking across Abbey Row..."
"John"
"Right"
"Paul"
"Right"
"George"
"Right"
"And Ringo"
"Right.... and Craig"

The amazing transformation of James from a coiled spring to loose as a goose. My personal favorite moment:

Tom: "I say the elephant."

James (full of philosophical contemplation): "Why's that?"

Tom: "Sit!  I'm gonna talk to you like a dog. I wouldn't even, I, I wouldn't talk to a dog that way."

Larry, eternally unflappable: "You sound like my ex-wife deah. We split up amicably, deah."

"You sound like Aaron Neville dere..." -LDP

YES.

THIRDED.  That and Tom's reaction might actually have been the single biggest laugh the Best Show has given me.

Yeah! I was laughing so hard on hold! That's probably why I sounded so surprised when he answered my call. The timing was so on between LDP and Tom. I think that might be my fave moment this year from TBS.

Tom calling Milo 'Kubrick' for his invasive attempts to control and fact-check his father's first call to the show.

The re-imagining of Do The Right Thing. Holy moley, that was hilarious. "You kids don't know good music! Like Dinosaur Jr!"

Here's the Burt Reynolds story I was reading from:
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/fl-burt-reynolds-teaches-20100718,0,6533981.story

Quote
A former professional rodeo bull rider who has been described by Reynolds as "looking like a young Robert Mitchum," David Ausem, 25, of Port Salerno, said he respects Reynolds' serious approach to acting. Ausem has a bachelor of arts degree in theater, but said he has learned more in six months in Reynolds' class than all his four years of college.
"Son, there's a thin line between crazed and rabid"
