Bryce:  (makes some weird noises like a vacuum cleaner) "38."
That Bryce sure does hit that vacuum cleaner a lot!

It's crazy how LDP really does feel the need to maintain his character to a neurotic extent. It wouldn't surprise me if he tweeted gyaneshwar under the impression that if anyone, anywhere, doubted his perversity, his calling career would tank. I'm glad he is more consistent that James, but I feel kind of bad for whoever is behind LDP.

He called in to SHUT UP, WEIRDO 2 weeks ago and got the heave ho pretty quickly because  Frangry found him creepy and Andy found him annoying. The next week he called in again and he very subtly toned the gimmick down. He was still LDP (he may have even called himself that instead of Larry da Perv) but he wasn't quite as pervy.

For the record, that Brendon (?Brendan) from Washington DC totally sounds like Alan Alda.

He has the same cadence as Alan Alda, but the actual voice isn't quite as close. Next time he calls in he should just scream "It wasn't a chicken, it was a baby!" repeatedly until we're all able to make a fair assesment.

I could hear the Alan Alda in that guy's voice, but he doesn't sound like Alan Alda as much as Howard Stern does.

Mr. Fishlegs,

I am somewhat curious about LDP appearance.  In your opinion is it memorable enough to listen to the show for?

Sincerely,

I'm a fan of SHUT UP, WEIRDO so I would say it's always worth listening to.  However if your sole purpose for listening was to hear LDP I think I'd have to say no.

Remember the pump four call? There's a very short sequel. It happened yesterday.

I tried to give Shut Up Weirdo a shot a few weeks ago, but I can't get past the skin-crawling-creepiness of a few regular callers. And the last straw was hearing Spike confess that he spends 5 hours a day watching soap operas and porn. Made me long for the broken record complaints about new music, people under 25, and Staten Island.

What's wrong with soap operas? Real men watch soap operas. As for porn, I watch the right kind of porn. Don't worry, Pets, I do plan on making Staten Island a penal colony. People under 25 will be shipped off to Antarctica.

This could be the tag line, should the show ever advertise.

Since when has anyone who ever listened to Dinosaur Jr. cared about the lyrics?

That is just crazy talk. The lyrics to YOU'RE LIVING ALL OVER ME work in perfect tandem with the music. The combination of the two makes it a masterpiece.

Tom.

I'll give it another listen. I did love the album when I first heard it in high school but at the time I didn't think the lyrics were anything special.
