Best:

-Tom and Chris talking about the early days of Fox.
-Spike calling Tom "Cha Cha Cha."

Worst:

-That cold-blooded kid who talked about being naked on his roof within the first ten seconds of his call.
-Wally in 2011. He seems so spastic and sad lately.

Does anybody else hate the opening theme to Never Not Funny as much as I do? "Please don't take it personal ... get the eff out of my way ..." Ugh. That song is the worst.

Late response but yes, that music is really bad.   The indecisive "fkk" always bugged me too.  Either own the word or don't sing it ...

edit: btw why was the other board coming up in chat?

Worst:
-Wally in 2011. He seems so spastic and sad lately.

He just wanted to chime in when a comedy hero was on.  Though Tom's reasoning for not taking the call is sound, listen to the choice of words he used when referring to Wally.  It was a little embarassing to say the least, and I think any coming off as sad could be excused, especially if you put yourself in the same position.  He's trying to only call when it seems like an opportune time and when he has something to say, but you never know how things will play out, when it comes to The Best Show.  Wally's got plenty of positivity left in him, still.  If you want to get your fill, check him out on Twitter.  Or do you already follow him?

Tom laughing at Mike laughing at Tom berating him. That big laugh is in infectious.

Agreed. I love when Tom is overcome by the hilarity of a situation.

Made your peace with the felt-skinned, Freddy?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Speaking of Spike, can anyone point me towards his first call? I've tried to find it on my own to no avail.

Research conducted last spring/summer for the Trading Cards project indicated that the first Spike call occurred during the 3/2/04 program.

Thanks, Omar.

Listened to it today. He sprang on the scene fully-formed like Athena. Short call, but all Spike.

Best & worst:

Spike's laugh.  Disturbing.  It reminded me of the end of Predator, where it mimics Billy's laughter right before self destructing.

I thought the Wally heave-ho was particularly weird considering that Chris Elliott is currently working with the Z-Man's brother, no?

At least, it got everyone's attention, Pet.

I'm still chuckling about the people at the Ted Leo show drinking Captain Morgan via bottle service.
I'm in my late 50's.
