I like some of the Grateful Dead's stuff, but Tom was spot-on about them being the worst cover band ever.

GD's cover of 'Good Lovin' isn't bad.....because it's awful!

I was praying to the spirit of Phil Lesh that a call from Bryce was brewing.

The Wally Wackiman vs. FoNPR was so unexpected and perfectly improvised to me that I linked the archive to a friend in order for them to hear said exchange.

They do a wonderful version of "Not Fade Away."

What does "wonderful" mean again?
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

The Fa5t and the Furiou5 talk was golden - Tom's rendition of the music was the best thing since Tom's rendition of the fight music in Blade movies. And it takes an insanely talented mimic to be able to come up with a passable Rock impression off the cuff like that.

The Rock impression was top notch. And the impression of the dude in front of Tom in line at Fast and the Furious was EVEN BETTER.

Also, calling Adam Corollo the Dr. Mengele of podcasting was pretty great.

Do you care to share what they thought of it?

I'm sure Spike will call in next week to whine about this, ban or no ban (http://www.deadline.com/2011/04/abc-cancels-both-all-by-children-one-life-to-live-replaces-them-with-healthlifestyle-series/):
Quote
UPDATED: Goodbye Erica Kane. It is a sad day for soap fans, who are losing two more long-running daytime dramas. After relentless speculation over the past couple of months that ABC will cancel at least one of its three daytime soaps, the network today announced it will pull the plug on both All My Children and One Life To Live. All My Children will end its 41-year run in September, One Life to Live will bow out in January after 43 years. They will be replaced by two new unscripted shows, The Chew and The Revolution, respectively. The move leaves General Hospital as the only soap in ABC's daytime lineup.

I just wanted to step in and gloat now that the Supersuckers have a better batting average than the dirty Grateful Dead in the Live Music Archive. The fans have spoken!

That made me laugh.

If you have 20 minutes and would care to consider this week's topic seriously, the argument for "things getting better" is pretty solid.

But Fredericks, was it "Bwahh hah hah hah hah haaaaa"

or "Boohoohoohoohoohoo"?

These details matter.
