Tom: (on the show being called "too local") "Should I do the show on the astral plane?"

One of the funniest things ever uttered.

And what's more, local is "IN" right now, yes?

Hence the proliferation of 100 Mile Podcasts.

Yeah, iTunes is adding geolocation functionality I hear.

AV Club finally wised up and put the Best Show at the top of their "Best" list in their weekly Podcast article -- http://www.avclub.com/articles/the-week-of-may-1925,56689/. They also somehow refrained from mentioning Carollo's hour and a half of avuncular hate speech this week.

OMG
IDK if Spike reliezes it or not... but,
baked ziti jones is anti comedy at its best

Gems like 'Baked Ziti Jones' are the reason I actually hope Spike never goes away.

Also a fan of the '...for those of you who are new to this show...' introductions.

The Audio and Video Club hasn't featured the show proper in their weekly pod roundup before, only Gems. This will give the AV enthusiasts ample opportunity to express their supposed love for The Best Show while still s-hitting on the Gems podcast - it's a win-win, really.

Woodsy and The Leader back to back?  Can Tor and Gord be far behind?
Don't forget Capt. Jack and Jimmy Blue...

Didn't Captain Jack call a couple of months ago?

Yes indeed. Tom called him "Captain Jerk" and promptly hung up.

Ted Leo as "Baskets Ball Bully #2":
"Hey c'mon stupid he said pass ya the ball"
"Dad gets mad."

Well then I am counting on the kids from Goshen to come through or the Hasu- and Anti-Hasu-kid.

Kid Kansas.

He didn't really come back, did he?

His turn (not as Kid Kansas) in accusing Tom of "Indie Payola" was an all-time show highlight, followed as it was by Nils from Matador's call.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

He hasn't come back as far as I know.  I just wish he would.
