- "that parrot doesnt even want to be in America." - Tom
- hearing Mike laugh hysterically when Tom calls Kevin Smith a "Lunkhead"
- i really could listen to Tom and Marc Maron talk comedy all day.
- my internet cut out half way through but i was saved by the WFMU iphone app. whew!

this really was a good one. i'd like to hear Tom and Marc together more often

Sad to hear Dave From Knoxville is not on the revised revised show opening theme.

I heard him in last night's opening.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I came into the live show after 9:30, and haven't heard the podcast version yet, but was told by my fellow Southern Gent Jason that I am in this one. Apparently there are going to be multiple intros that rotate, or perhaps one will "win out".

Hey, whetever happens, the Best Show gave me something to become enthused about right when it happened to me, and I have met friends and had moments I would never have guessed possible, so everything from here on is gravy.

The final GOMP of the night was the best moment.

Caller: "Hey Tom!, I don't want to take any time away from you and Marc Maron!"
Tom: "ok then" *hangs up*
Marc: *laugh* "OK, Tom, when you do that to them, what do they say?"
Tom: "I dunno. Sometimes they say it's an honor to be hung up. Sometimes they get upset. I dunno."

..you could detect the grin in the last quote, even though I'm seriously paraphrasing it. But I liked how relaxed Marc was able to get Tom on his own show. Certainly a rarer occasion.

Another different great moment personally for me was Jen Kirkman. I'd be happy if she called on any show, but this one? I didn't expect Marc to get all excited and ask her how the Seattle show last Saturday was. I was one of the FOTS at her show. Was Jen really nervous about that show for any reason? because she killed it that night. Either way, Jen gave a love shout-out to the Seattle FOTs, which I didn't expect, and I blushed from afar.

I thought Maron and Tom had great chemistry! That was a quick three hours!

But the Mike and Marc conversation at the end was wonderfully twisted (could you imagine a WTF w/ AP Mike?)
I think Maron or anyone getting Mike to really open up would need to have the score from the USS Indianapolis scene from Jaws played under it.
This may be the year I will disappear.

Hate to complain about things, but why isn't the podcast of this week's show up yet?

Three weeks back, but

Tom: You've never met John Wesley Schipp?

Spike: Oh, no no no no no

Tom: Why don't you just go the Red Lobster he works at?

From a few weeks ago, Tom's discussion of the outlet under the hand dryer.  This brought to mind the unfortunate arrangement in the bathroom of my office.  Picture the trajectory of any loose water as you move your wet hands from the sink to the paper towels.  This terrifies me.

Can you turn the outlet off with one of those buttons? I suggest some outlet covers if you're so nervous. I would love it if you bought them but then someone took them out!

OK, it was posted mere minutes after I posted that. I had it downloaded by the time I headed to work so all was good. And it was a great show. I knew Marc was gonna be on, but didn't know he'd be on for almost the whole three hours. Sorry Dave from Knoxville, but Tom yelling at you for not including him on your list of great interviewers was hillarious.

I do kinda disagree with Tom about the Bobby Slayton WTF? episode. His suggesting his daughter as a guest was a bit much, but overall I enjoyed him even though I can't say I'm a huge fan of his comedy.

Listening to the podcast now. My absolute favorite moment so far: Marc Maron making a Robocop reference during the discussion of Joe Rogan.
