Check the deets

I know Cross had exposure to Nardwuar's material in the early 90's but I can't really find anything else about their relationship. Is this the aforementioned 'deet'? Are the deets about the pot story? Whaddaya mean Carver?

In fairness, the line between these two has gotten a lot thinner lately.

There's a fantastic line from the best bit Andrew Earles ever did on the show - The Depressed Office Worker - where one of his co-workers was wearing a shirt that had Crosby's picture on it with the caption, "Don't Eff with the Croz."

That and the part about the chilled Big Mac casserole are high moments in a show with a lot of em.

Worst part: Kat from Raleigh
Best part: Petey

Worst part? You mean the call from the person that flipped the script on the topic to make it all about themself, like always? You didn't find that enjoyable? Why so negative?

I'm sure other people have noticed this, but I think the callers on non-Tuesday shows are consistently much better than the callers on typical regularly scheduled Tuesday-night shows (although there are exceptions). And, what's more, Tom seems to take a lot more callers on not-Tuesdays than on most Tuesdays, which is always (or usually always) fun to listen to. I'd like to think that there are opportunities here--or at least lessons to be learned for improving the quality and frequency of callers into the Show. I get the feeling that the status of the call-in segment is a little bit in flux within the context of the current non-WFMU format.

Adding to an old best show topic of "Most Coked Out Performance", I just rewatched the GBV "Electrifying Conclusion" DVD and I vote Jon Wurster during "I Am a Tree".

On the Szechuan sauce fiasco and the kid screaming about being Pickle Rick while standing on the counter; that was a performance. The person doing the yelling and screeching on the floor is "chairman_marr" who was at the Berkeley Nazi march/protestor fight carrying a shield, so he's this alt-right knob.

I liked the Mr. Hooper Hologram mention. Reminded me of other characters that the show should resurrect:

David who took over Hooper's Store

The Collected Works Of Harvey Kneeslapper

"They" gave Mr. Kneeslapper the boot for not being "educational" enough...never quite got over that.

I loved Mr. Hooper (Will Lee). One of my best days ever was visiting the set of Sesame Street at age 7. I was in Mr. Hooper's store talking to Mr. Hooper. I still can't believe it.

I sat in Big Bird's nest and peeked into Oscar's trash can. Oscar and BB were not on set that day.
