Ugh, they're running more of those McCafe commercials, but now it's with women. "Oh, I don't have to listen to jazz all day!" "I can wear high heels again!" "I can talk about television! I like television!" "I don't have to pretend to know where Paraguay is!" "Paraguay?"

You deserve the awful coffee you get, ladies.

Regarding McStuff, there actually was a McHotDog, in the UK at least. I never tried one, but they looked abominable. All in a styrofoam bun, garnished with raw diced onion...

"Some sort of clave" really made me laugh, for no reason.

"Some sort of clave" was definitely hilarious.  "Joe Vitamin" caught me off guard too.  And "I'd be lyin' if I said I wasn't interested in her ... ... ... as a lover ... Whaaat!?!?"

I didn't even recognize Hetfield.

It went:

1. hey, is that the dude from Suicidal?
2. is he shopping?
3. i think he's in Metallica now.
4. so are those groupies, then?
5. that's James Hetfield!

and Jason Grotes call is currently my favorite part but I'm only at DFK (who is doing well). Gene just called in and I'm laughing at the "sued" portion.

What a hilarious show.  The Kid Rock stuff was fantastic.

Man, I had no idea Tom was trying to talk to me about Davy Jones.  I wasn't listening live and just assumed I should choogle on out of there so he could get on with his bit.  It makes me want to call again and just laff at Tom's jokes, but it's going to be a while before I can listen live again and it's hard to get what's going on without context.

Dave, I'm sorry I didn't adequately credit you for the Tom/Dogmo birthday idea, but if it's any consolation, Tom scolded me for it!!
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

About the whole 'metal is for children' thing -- isn't Tom a big comic book fan (and not the grown-up kind, either)? Don't mean to pick on him, but you know... glass houses and all.

I'm not sure where I picked up that idea; maybe I'm confusing his tastes with all those 'Comedians of Comedy' guys. Someone wanna set me straight?

Richard Meltzer said rock music in general was for children.

With metal what especially skeeves me is when they take the musicianship to absurd extremes.  'Everybody played in a different time signature there, and you couldn't see it but the bass player really had to stretch his hand out a lot'.
