Tom losing his rant when he was on with Frank, and asking himself what he was even saying.

About the whole 'metal is for children' thing -- isn't Tom a big comic book fan (and not the grown-up kind, either)? Don't mean to pick on him, but you know... glass houses and all.

Punk rock is not exactly known for its emotional maturity either, and we all know from the music segments that it's a favorite genre.

Metal as we know it today owes a great deal to punk, just like goth music.  Teasing metal is a (hardcore) punk tradition rooted in the eighties.  Most people who listen to one also listen to at least a little of the other.  It isn't personal, just inter-scene politics.  ;)

Agreed. That had me cackling along with Tom.

My other favorite moment: Tom equating the people at Yankee Stadium to the creeps in the Star Wars canteen ("My friend doesn't like you. I don't like you either!").

Hey, it turned back on Tom at the end with the surprise revelation.

The breakdown of "Blueberries For Breakfast" was amazing. The way all the goofy hippie nonsense slowly gave way to the sound of a murder being recorded...I'm trying to think of another song that's so cryptically ominous under the surface, and all I can come up with is the Bee Gee's "My Thing" - which I'm convinced is about a dog ordering the Bee Gees to kill for him.
This may be the year I will disappear.

What was the revelation? I wound it back a couple of times and still can't hear what the guy said.

Was there a revelation? I just thought Tom thought the joke fizzled out and dumped the whole thing.

That Cantina stuff was great too.

ALSO, Tom losing it before telling us about H-man's croquet mallet. That whole Facebook thing started of slow and I didn't know what he was doing with it, but I was dying by the end.

Yes!  So many great moments (Brian Wilson aka Doug, H-Man's Facebook entries, Blueberries for Breakfast), but my favorite call of the night goes to Harry (like Harry Potter) and his discussion of the world's best dessert.

My favorite part was the "Blueberries for Breakfast" analysis.  I get a delay because I listen over the internet, and someone in the chat said "this song has taken a weird turn" about two minutes before I heard the line "I'm gonna have to call the cops if you don't leave me alone."  I had the pleasure of knowing something bizarre was about to happen, and happen soon, and then the delight of the bizarre thing being so many, many times more bizarre than I could have ever predicted.

That segment will be my "hey, listen to this" segment for a friend I'm trying to convert.

And also Harry getting mad about the quality of the desserts at the Tip Top. Cracked me up!
