The idea of a Burn After Reading motorcycle jacket was funny also.
"You want me to recognize you and I won't. I won't acknowledge you! I deny you. So you keep begging and begging. The door is slammed on you. I want nothing to do with you. You will die unrecognized by me."

I found my worst moment. On listening to the podcast, right after Tom heave ho's me (at the 2:12:45 mark), realplayer gets stuck in a glitch and keeps repeating him disdainfully saying "more power to 'em though, more power to 'em" over and over and over. I think this may be a sign from god? Is that happening to anyone else or is this a trick on me? It genuinely is freaking me out a little.

The realization of the fact that Pleasure Island is actually the soundtrack to a porno movie and the director of said movie left out the sexy details to Brian Wilson when pitching the soundtrack idea to him ranks up there pretty high.

Nice signature, RegularJoe.  That is all.
"...Roddy's brother Buddy, he's got a buddy, that works at the 5 and dime, who's Uncle Ron runs a recording studio.  Rod shows up with his six-stringed friend, and a head full of tunes.  Laid down some tracks, and the tape burned like Rock n' Roll fire..."   -Gas Station Dogs

That Comedy Podcast list is invalid.  The Best Show isn't actually being outsubscribed by those shitty podcasts.  We need a better ranking system.

The iTunes top 100 lists
iTunes publishes a top 100 list for all of the podcasts in its directory and separate top 100 lists for each podcast category. This is a ranking that was meant by Apple to be interesting primarily for iTunes users, not to be useful for advertisers. However, it can be quite informative if you know how to read it.

Much to the ire of podcasts with well established audiences, the iTunes top 100 lists are based primarily on new subscriptions initiated in the iTunes podcast directory during the past week, with the more recent subscriptions weighted more heavily. In other words, iTunes is essentially ranking the podcasts with the highest velocity of new users.

Use iTunes to identify the up-and-comers and growing podcasts, but don't rely on it as the be-all and end-all of podcast rankings. Hypothetically, though unlikely, an established podcast with a million subscribers and 100 new iTunes subscribers would be placed behind a brand new podcast with 200 fresh subscribers. It also doesn't count the portion of the audience that doesn't use iTunes. Nevertheless, iTunes provides the best publicly-available ranking of podcasts since it has the largest user base from which to collect information. Ignore it at your own peril.

Who has hacking skillz?  Take over a zombie network and get all the nodes to subscribe.  I bet that's what Kevin Smith did.

how about the general air of creepiness that took hold of the chat when Maya (from Brooklyn?) called in.
"Son, there's a thin line between crazed and rabid"
