Blame the dummy who thought he was doing the world a favor by having his girlfriend pretend to be HIV-positive and have Downs Syndrome, then called me a 'sucker' afterwards for not being a mean piece of shit to a caller who clearly had issues.

Tom.

This was the same guy that called in during H Man's episode right? His calls reeked of "sketchball." While i can't seem to find this call in podcast (i unfortunately missed the live feed after the ringo starr story), it sounds like a straight up dick move.

favorite part: The Jim Beam/Papa Roche story was fantastic, the Evan Funk Davies/Richard Roeper/ZZ Top preview killed me, and the Ringo Starr takedown was nuts.

Also "Mohammad don't come down to the mountain."

Yes, "os" has caught on in a big way, among my real-life FOT friends.  We just can't get enoughos.

I hear it's really big in Brazil and Portugal, too...  I love me some Novos Baianos

Yeah, I have not heard this either - was it scrubbed from the podcast, I'm assuming?
I'm warning you with peace and love.

I enjoyed Colin's (Wolf King of L.A.?) call - the way he fretted that it made him seem mentally ill, and the way Tom immediately switched to Life Coach/therapist mode, which confirmed that Colin's story made him seem mentally ill.

Colin - I get that too, usually when I've been badmouthing someone, or thinking nasty stuff about them and then run into them. I become sure they can read my mind. While I was listening to the show, and I told my wife that I also sometimes worry that people can read & judge my thoughts, my wife said, "Do you know who that is? That person that's judging you? That's YOU!"

Oh yeah: Tom wondered last week, "Where are Papa Roach now?" I don't know where they are right at this minute, but in 3 weeks, they'll be playing at A.J.'s Alehouse in Kingston, Ontario (aka: a deep pit of despair).

I was delighted to hear that John Hodgman is going to be on the show. Two of my favorite things together!

I always love the EFD intros but that Roeper one just killed me.

so apparently i didnt read far back enough until today to realize that call was bogus and not so hauntingly creepy/bizarre/f***ing weird as i previously thought.

Last night's show was excellent all the way through. A mid-light was.

FRANGRY: It's Frangry.
TOM: (disappointed) Really?
"How do they see you when there's no light?"

Best: The return of Eddie!
Worst: The ghoul who congratulated Paul F. Tompkins on his recent weight-gain.

I'll probably go into the wee hours.
