What was that beginning a reference to? The 'only radio host who is NOT a convicted felon! NOT!'. I laughed without getting it.

Tom Leykis, he always says that (in reference to Rush Limbaugh I think) to start his show.

Tom Leykis, that explains why I didn't get it.  I've only ever heard 30 seconds of that guy in my life.

I appreciated your respect for local barkeeps, also. Flasks are for dinks.

As a former bartender, I am aware of the decorum. At least you know that they wash their hands... if someone smuggled a flask or a bottle, that means they had to be creative about where they kept it on their person. And the more "creative" they got, the less I want it near my face.

"I'm going to make that Jay Reatard idiot look like Axl Rose."

That is pretty great.

Also, during The Trembling Eagle portion of the show, when Tom mentioned their divergent tastes in music, I thought "TE will bring up Live one day.  Mark my words."

Hammerhead beat him to it.

Live.  So great.

This was an all-out GREAT show.

The bit about Rush had to bring in the bass player from The Specials b/c Geddy Lee couldn't handle reggae-influenced bass lines.  That and Neil Peart worrying about his beanie falling off.

How can a "radio how" be a convicted felon?

(OK, I'll stop now.)

We're still buds for life.

Oh, and I went back and fixed those typos.  You make me a better person, Martin.  You're like my Diane Court.  But I'm not Lloyd Dobler. I'm the blonde girl that Diane beat out for valedictorian, whom she finally bonds with at the graduation party.

And when Petey said "Spike, just shut up".

I just got around to listening to this show, and this made me laugh so loud I scared everyone else at the bus stop. "You Canadummy."

Also you could totally feel the depth's of Samir's unhappiness about the monopoly movie. The whole thing shook me to the core.

Hate is not only omnipresent, but universal.
