I was just taking a slug of coffee when Tom asked who was in the belt-whipping league and Mr. Sherbet replied that it was he.*  It was with difficulty that I stopped myself from spraying it all over my screen.

*I missed this bit last night.

When Mr. Sherbet started talking.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Mike in Manhattan did sound eerily like Captain Jack when he opened with "Hello, Tommy."

John Hodgeman opening with a 9/11 story, prompted by some off-hand Frank Miller talk, set a tone for the interview that wasn't what I had expected at all. It was delightful to get to listen to the real guy. The whole show was amazing.

Amen.

Hodgman needs a show where he can just talk and talk and talk.  I would pay good money for this.

Tom's 9/11 cheesecake tale was both heartwarming and hilarious...a memorable episode to say the very least.

I'm pleased that Trembling Eagle is able to get cell phone reception in the hate pit. I also got a kick out of hearing John Hodegman say the words "Trembling Eagle" in his dead pan, awesome way.

That podcast does diminish my faith in mankind faster than that old HBO show 'Oz' once did.
